Hi,
I'm trying to carry out an assessment of different models (dosage compensations vs no dosage compensation) for X chromosome analysis in an African related population set of 5000 individuals. I've tried to update the X chromosome GRM several times, but keep getting the following error:
nfs/team149/Software/usr/share/gcta1.24/gcta64 --grm GRM_xchr --dosage-compen 1 --update-sex GRM_xchr.indi.sex.list --make-grm --out GRM_xchr_fdc ******************************************************************* * Genome-wide Complex Trait Analysis (GCTA) * version 1.24.4 * (C) 2010-2013 Jian Yang, Hong Lee, Michael Goddard and Peter Visscher * The University of Queensland * MIT License ******************************************************************* Analysis started: Tue Sep 23 12:32:39 2014
Options: --grm GRM_xchr
Error: invalid option "--dosage-compen".
Analysis finished: Tue Sep 23 12:32:39 2014 Computational time: 0:0:0
Has anyone encountered this error before? I would really appreciate any advice on this.
Thanks.
Best wishes, Deepti

Just wanted to say that this error is sorted out when I use --dc rather than --dosage-compen.
