update gene names for few genes from the BESD file

hello there,

I downloaded data from cnsgenomics.com/software/smr/#DataResource for example for brain eqtl

On CHR22 I would like to update name of gene ENSG00000100312.6 to ENSG00000100312

Is there a way to do it?

I used following command to do it but in vain:



smr_Linux --beqtl-summary GTEx_Brain_std --update-epi updated_genenameCHR22.txt




updated_genenameCHR22.txt file has gene name modified as ENSG00000100312
