Hi!
I have created a GRM in plain text format (grm.gz). It is very big (N=60,000 ind), but it looks fine and has the corresponding number of entries. When I run GCTA, the program reads the id file and displays the correct number of individuals, but when it gets to read the grm.gz file it gives me the following error:
> Error: there are 0 lines in the [/grm/G.grm.gz] file. The expected number of lines is -773621627.
Two things bother me. First, there are more than 0 lines in the matrix, but also it says that the expected number is negative.
I though it might be a problem with the memory, but I'm using a large node and I still receive the same error.
Can you help me with this? Thanks in advance!
C

You might try the --make-grm-bin option. The .grm.gz format does not support very large files.

Thanks, well I created the matrix using my own code and I was trying to convert it to bin, so I'm not sure how to modify my code to convert to bin, but I'll think about it.
Thanks again for the super prompt reply!! C
