Hi
I would like to run a heritability model including M and Q components because I hypothesized that additional genetic effects contribute to my pheno. For ex. for a children phenotype I hypothesized I have maternal and children genetic contribution. If I use maternal only matrix and children only matrix in to separate models I found significant heritability in both. I want to estimate the direct genetic effect G, the environmental effect E and the indirect effect due to genetic effect of mothers as reported in M-GCTA paper Eaves et al., Behav Genet 2014.
Do you know an alternative method to take into account the indirect genetic effects due to matching mom-child or sibling-child pairs?
I calculated a unique grm matrix using maternal and children genetics in the matching-pairs orderso now I have a triangular genetic relationship matrix with mom-mom, mom-child and child-child estimation. Can you help me to use it in GCTA?
