Apply --reml-pred-rand to case-control dataset

Dear All,



I want to use the "--reml-pred-rand" option to predict the random effects by the BLUP method. I am not sure whether I completely understand this method correctly.
I have one question.


Can "--reml-pred-rand" option  be applied to case-control dataset?

I'm worrying it because I could find example that applied the options to quantitative trait in below site, but I couldn't find example of case-control study.
