Dear Dr. Yang,
I have carefully read your published papers on missing heritability. I quite agree with the theory of "missing heritabilty", based on it, SNP-based heritability is always lower than pedigree-based heritability. However, higher SNP-based heritability were found for some traits in my research. Would you please give me some suggestions.
In my work, SNP-based heritability was estimated using model in GCTA with all SNPs in chicken 600K genotyping array, and pedigree-based heritability was estimated using mixed linear animal model as implemented in DMU software.
A letter from China Agricutural University.
Sincerely yours, Jingwei
