Dear all,
I am estimating relatedness to be to calculate heritability for ~ traits in a sample of 456 individuals and 233 SNPs. Because individuals in my sample come from families which mothers could have been pollinated by different pollen donors it is possible that I have a mix of full and half-sibs in my sample (96 mothers).
If I carry on with the normal GRM in GCTA would the structure of my sample affect the estimate of relatedness? If yes, what are the alternatives?
Thanks for any help with this!
Best,
Klara
